Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Duokeep website, mobile app, and related services. By creating an account or using Duokeep, you agree to these terms.

Duokeep is a private document workspace for couples. It provides user-controlled organisation, collaboration, scanning, writing, chronology, file utilities, and exports. You decide what to collect, how to name it, and how to use anything you export.

• Provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials and recovery phrase secure.
• Only upload, share, or process content when you have the rights, consent, or lawful basis to do so.
• Do not upload unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing, or malicious content or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.

• A Partner workspace is shared by its two active members. Each member can access and manage shared workspace content, regardless of who originally added it.
• If one member leaves, the remaining active member may continue to access, organise, export, and manage shared workspace content. Leaving or deleting an account does not automatically remove content retained in a shared workspace.
• If only one active member remains, that member may permanently delete the workspace and its files using the available app controls.

• You keep ownership of content you upload. You give Duokeep a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, display, organise, export, transmit, retain, and delete that content only as needed to provide the service, follow your instructions, maintain the shared workspace, and meet legal obligations. This licence ends when the content is deleted from Duokeep, except where retention is required by law or the content remains in a shared workspace or retained Package under these terms.
• Review content before exporting or sharing it outside Duokeep and keep your own backups of important documents.

• Duokeep uses client-side end-to-end encryption for supported workspace content and selected user-facing metadata.
• Keep access to at least one authorised device or your 24-word recovery phrase. Duokeep does not store your workspace key or recovery phrase in plaintext and cannot restore encrypted content if both are lost.

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of Duokeep. We aim to keep the service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or permanent availability. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

Questions or complaints about the service or these terms can be submitted through the support form at duokeep.app/contact. Include enough detail for the issue to be reviewed and explain the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable time.
